Somebody clean the NBA Sixth Man of the Year trophy and inscribe Jordan Clarkson’s name on it. The high-scoring guard has truly found a home with the Utah Jazz as he has fully embraced his role as the team’s spark plug off the bench.

Clarkson was instrumental in the Jazz’s historic run this season, clinching the NBA’s best record for the first time ever after finishing the regular season with a 52-20 win-loss slate. He was recently asked what song he’s feeling as they head into the NBA Playoffs with great momentum and homecourt advantage all throughout. The young gunslinger gave a pretty surprising answer: “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears.

While Clarkson’s clearly one of the hipper guys in the NBA, with his fashion choices and numerous TikTok videos, his answer was quite unexpected. Who knew he also liked listening to Tears for Fears? Then again, the song is pretty appropriate for the Jazz as they look to rule the NBA.
They fell short in a memorable first round duel with the Denver Nuggets last season, so all signs point to finding vindication for Clarkson and the Jazz. They are still waiting for the play-in tournament though to find out who will they be going up against in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs.
Jordan Clarkson, who averaged a career-high 18.4 points this season, is expected to play an even bigger role for the Jazz in the postseason. They have a little extra time to prepare and perhaps listen to more old school music.
