Former Chicago Bulls star Scottie Pippen has been throwing out some absolutely wild takes lately. He called Phil Jackson a racist, put Kevin Durant on blast, and now, Pippen is calling Michael Jordan selfish for deciding to leave the Bulls to pursue a baseball career in 1993.

Here’s the interview, via the Dan Patrick Show:

“Yeah It was a big decision, but It was a selfish decision, but it was kind of who Michael Jordan was. That was a guy who believed he can do anything on his own”

MJ wouldn’t have won six titles with the Bulls if it wasn’t for Pippen, but to say he was selfish in everything he did is a little bit much. Jordan actually decided to try his hand at baseball because of his late father at the time, who had the dream of MJ playing in the big leagues one day.
Pippen went on to say that he and Jordan weren’t really anything more than Bulls teammates, claiming the two didn’t really spend a lot of time together off the court.
The glory days in Chicago were certainly centered around MJ, but to be fair, he was the greatest player in the world at the time and is arguably the GOAT. Scottie Pippen clearly has a lot of things on his mind and he’s unloading all of these crazy thoughts in the last week. Nevertheless, tension or not, that Bulls dynasty was something else.
