Detectives plan to spend two weeks combing the home for clues (Picture: GMP\/MEN Media)Detectives and forensic officers are searching the former home of a woman who went missing 50 years ago in hope of finding fresh leads.
\nThe terraced house in Crumpsall, Manchester, has been cordoned off as part of a long running investigation into the disappearance of Isabella Skelton.
\nIsabella, known to friends as Izzy, left her family home in June 1969, aged 35, and never came back.
\nBut investigators haven\u2019t given up trying to find her, having released a computer generated image in September showing what she might look like now.
\nToday, Greater Manchester Police confirmed that specialist officers were searching the old family home of Islabella, now 87.
\nDetectives say they are keeping an open mind as they do all they can to find out what has happened to her.
\nThe search at the home is expected to last at least two weeks and the current occupants, who have no link to Isabella or her family, have been temporarily relocated.<\/p>\n

Leading the search is detective inspector Claire Moss, who said: \u2018Isabella\u2019s family continue to seek answers to her disappearance over 50 years ago and we are now taking our enquiries back to the address where she is last known to have resided before her disappearance in a bid for any clues that could help us.
\n\u2018I want to reassure the local community that our work in the next few weeks is purely to try and aid our investigation.\u2019
\nDetective Sergeant Jamie Heaton added: \u2018We have been working with local partner agencies to ensure that there is minimal disruption for residents in the area, and I encourage anyone with any concerns in the coming days to speak to our uniformed officers on the ground that will be on hand to provide information.
\n\u2018When people are reported missing to the police, no matter the passage of time, it is crucial that we do everything we can to find them.\u201d
