\nThe Duke of Sussex was due to fly back from his home in LA to attend the event alongside Prince William on July 1.
\nIt would have been the first time the brothers had been reunited since Prince Philip\u2019s funeral and only the second time since Harry\u2019s controversial move to the US last year.
\nHarry and Meghan\u2019s biographer, Omid Scobie, wrote in\u00a0Bazaar.com\u00a0last month: \u2018He will join William at Kensington Palace\u2019s Sunken Garden for a ceremony that was rescheduled from summer 2020.\u2019
\nBut a royal watcher says the prince\u2019s trip is now in doubt \u2013 and Meghan is unlikely to want to cross the Atlantic either.
\nPhil Dampier, author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan In Their Own Words, told the Sun: \u2018I personally don\u2019t think Meghan will return to the UK.
\n\u2018And there must now be a serious doubt as to whether Harry will come over for the unveiling of a statue for Princess Diana on what would have been her 60th birthday in July.\u2019
\nIt\u2019s after Russell Myers, the royal editor of the Daily Mirror, suggested that Harry may use the birth of his second child in the summer as a \u2018convenient excuse\u2019 not to turn up \u2018and face the family\u2019.<\/p>\n

\nTensions between princes have been high since Harry\u2019s decision to leave his role as a senior royal and move to the US with Meghan.
\nThe couple\u2019s interview with Oprah Winfrey \u2013 in which they accused the royal of racism \u2013 exacerbated the issues still further.<\/p>\n

The brothers took their first steps to repairing the relationship at the Duke of Edinburgh\u2019s funeral but experts believe there is still a long way to go.
\nA new Diana statue is set to be unveiled in Kensington on what would have been her 60th birthday.
\nPlans for the memorial have been closely guarded with the planners at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea said to have given their approval without seeing an image of what it might look like.
\nThe princes, who commissioned the statue, signed off on the plans last month, according to reports.
