Jim has claimed his shows have been a victim of \u2018cancellation culture\u2019 (Picture: Karwai Tang\/WireImage)Comedian Jim Davidson has claimed Torquay\u2019s Princess Theatre has \u2018axed\u2019 his shows following his comments on Diversity\u2019s Black Lives Matter performance.
\nThe outspoken comic was set to perform at the theatre in August, having done so for the past 40 years, but has since alleged his views on the dancing troupe\u2019s poignant Britain\u2019s Got Talent performance has now had him banned.
\nIn September the 67-year-old uploaded a video to his channel titled \u2018Who needs Diversity?\u2019 in which he complained about the dance routine which resulted in 21,000 complaints to Ofcom.
\nAfter previously calling it \u2018ridiculous\u2019 and \u2018indulgent\u2019, Davidson has now said his postponed Last Man Standing tour has been shafted from the Princess Theatre \u2013 but will instead go ahead at the smaller Babbacombe Theatre.
\nInsisting his comments were taken out of context, and that the reaction is part of the \u2018woke\u2019 culture, Devon Live reports Davidson ranted on his YouTube channel called Ustreme: \u2018For the first time in 40 years I won\u2019t be playing Torquay\u2019s main theatre.
\n\u2018They don\u2019t want me. They said it was the last straw.\u2019<\/p>\n
Jim shares his views on his own streaming channelAccording to the publication, the Ambassador Group, which runs the Princess, says it has no comment on why the shows have been cancelled.
\nIt\u2019s reported Davidson went on: \u2018The more \u201cwoke\u201d people are, the more upset I\u2019ve got to get about it.
\n\u2018It\u2019s what I\u2019ve always done, to take the mick out of what is going on.\u2019
\nHe added: \u2018How has the management of the Princess Theatre got the right to tell people they\u2019re not going to see Jim Davidson because of what he said about Diversity?
\n\u2018What I actually said was not what was reported.
\n\u2018People have reacted to a piece of fake news, and it has been the straw that broke the camel\u2019s back.
\n\u2018They\u2019re a leftie organisation that run the Princess, and they don\u2019t want to know.\u2019
\nBranding it \u2018cancellation culture\u2019, Davidson claimed \u2018someone in London who runs the theatre says they don\u2019t want Jim Davidson any more\u2019.
\nIn his critique of Diversity\u2019s performance, which came in the wake of George Floyd\u2019s murder a year ago, Davidson said: \u2018They\u2019re all dressed as BLM people, of course, and they ended up with a policeman\u2019s knee on the neck of a black man.
\n\u2018I thought that was the most indulgent piece of stuff I\u2019ve seen in ages. What was the point? Why do we have to re-enact some poor man\u2019s death? I saw it on the day that a black man was charged with murdering someone in Birmingham and injuring quite badly seven other people\u2026
\n\u2018Perhaps Diversity should have a look at that shouldn\u2019t they, and not do that f***ing dance in Birmingham around the families. Perhaps you can do it as a little piece for the funeral, that will cheer everybody up. And put in the middle of the dance the fact that all the BLM people are now threatening other people, especially in America, for not putting the fist up or taking the knee.
\n\u2018Well don\u2019t f***ing come round South East London, because we don\u2019t want to take the knee. We\u2019ve been growing up with black people around us for years and years and years and there doesn\u2019t seem to be a f***ing problem, until these young millennial people f***ing started.\u2019
\nStating he didn\u2019t know what Diversity \u2018wanted\u2019 he accused the dance group of not giving a \u2018f**k about George\u2019 before complaining \u2018you don\u2019t see white couples on adverts anymore, do you? Most TV presenters are non-white. The Golden Girls, that\u2019s being made by black people. Tom and Jerry\u2019s mum will probably be reinstated\u2019.

\nDavidson returned to YouTube after his previous videos hit headlines, claiming he was just stating facts.
\nAsking for his fans to keep supporting him and subscribing to his channel, he said: \u2018Let\u2019s show these people that I can\u2019t be bullied, I can\u2019t be shut up, I can\u2019t be kicked off the TV channel because it is my channel.\u2019
