The Milwaukee Bucks were absolutely disrespected by Trae Young in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t going full Michael Jordan-mode on the Atlanta Hawks star.

Late in the third quarter of the contest, Young found himself wide open for the triple after a sweet crossover on Jrue Holiday. Instead of firing the shot immediately, Ice Trae chose to wait a bit, shimmy and make the shot–which hit nothing but net.

After the contest, the Hawks guard explained why he hit the Bucks with such a disrespectful taunt, and he simply replied he “had time.”

“I had a lot of time to shoot.”

When asked for his comments on the shimmy, Antetokounmpo took it with class and said he sees it as someone who is having fun. With that said, he emphasized that he didn’t take it personally.

“He’s just having fun. He’s enjoying the game. Obviously I wouldn’t want him to make the shot. But he’s having fun. He’s enjoying the game. We’re going to do the same as a team. We are going to have fun and enjoy the game and there’s going to be times when Jrue might see me or whatever the case may be, or I might — it’s just part of the game. So can’t take that personally,” the Bucks star said, per the team’s website.

To be fair, like what Giannis Antetokounmpo said, Trae Young played with a lot of joy and confidence. It is likely the reason why he was able to get his way in the game and finished with 48 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists.

The Bucks could probably learn a thing or two from Young. After all, they needed the same kind of swagger that Trae showed if they want to compete for the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Milwaukee will surely be ready for Game 2 on Friday, and they will probably want to get back on Trae and take the W in the process.
