Mark Hoppus has shared an update from chemotherapy after the Blink-182 frontman confirmed he had been diagnosed with cancer.
\nThe I Miss You hitmaker explained that, while some of the treatment has left him feeling like a \u2018poisoned electrified zombie\u2019, his last round has been much more positive.
\n\u2018We\u2019re doing this!\u2019 he said. \u2018On the good days, I go do stuff. I went out on a walk outside today and it was the first time I left my house in\u2026five days pretty much.
\n\u2018But this round of chemo, I wasn\u2019t totally stuck on the couch, miserable. I\u2019ve actually watched movies and walked around and cleaned the house and hung out with my dogs, and I didn\u2019t just feel like a poisoned electrified zombie leaned up against an electric fence like I did the past couple of rounds.\u2019
\nMark added on a Twitch stream that he hasn\u2019t been able to do lots of things that he used to be able to, explaining: \u2018I want to go hang out with friends and go to a restaurant \u2013 I can\u2019t.
\n\u2018My white blood cell count is way too low for me to go out so I am stuck trying to get better. That\u2019s alright, I\u2019ll take it.\u2019
\nChemotherapy is a cancer treatment where medicine is used to kill cancer cells.
\nThere are various different types, but they stop\u00a0cancer\u00a0cells reproducing, which prevents them from growing and spreading in the body.
\nAfter the 49-year-old tweeted and deleted a photo of himself receiving treatment, he confirmed his diagnosis in a statement.
\n\u2018For the past three months I\u2019ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer,\u2019 he said.
\n\u2018I have cancer. It sucks and I\u2019m scared, and at the same time I\u2019m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.
\n\u2018I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I\u2019m trying to remain hopeful and positive. Can\u2019t wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the hopefully near future. Love to you all.\u2019
