A police officer has a bit of explaining to do after getting caught urinating in public.
The uniformed officer jumped out of a marked car to relieve himself in full view of a row of houses.
He might have thought he got away with it too – but he didn’t notice the CCTV camera directly above his head.
The home security device footage was uploaded to Facebook and has been shared widely online.
In the video a BMW police car can be seen driving into an empty yard over the road from a row of homes in Middlesbrough, and heads for the farthest corner.
A police officer in full uniform jumps out of the passenger side, visibly in a hurry, while already undoing his trousers.
He has a couple of nervous glances around – and probably got a fright when a police van goes haring past with its blue lights on.

It’s an awkward moment for the unfortunate cop, but it’s unlikely to lead to any serious punishment.
Cleveland Police said people who get caught urinating in public are usually dealt with by way of words of advice, unless they become abusive then they could be arrested for being drunk and disorderly.
But he will have to answer a couple of awkward questions from top brass.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: ‘We were made aware of the video in circulation and the matter is being dealt with by our directorate of standards & ethics department.’
