Six people have been killed in a mass shooting at a birthday party in Colorado.
The shooter, who also died, opened fire at a party his girlfriend was attending at a mobile home community in Colorado Springs shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Children at the scene appear to have been spared and were placed with relatives, police and city officials said in a statement.
Police said: ‘Upon arrival, officers located six deceased adults and one adult male with serious injuries who was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.’
