2021 NFL Draft

The 2021 NFL Draft is right around the corner on Thursday, and it is shaping up to be a historic one. Not just because of the incredible quarterbacks, the absurd number of wide receivers, or the top-end athletic talent in general, but for this reason:

This could definitely happen. Plenty of teams in the teens and early 20s have been buzzing about how many offensive guys will go early. https://t.co/DO1AqJ3rSl

There is some legitimate reason for this, as the 2021 NFL Draft features some of the best offensive talent in recent memory. The top five quarterbacks in Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, and Mac Jones are all virtually locks to go in the top 10. They could potentially even be the pure top five if a trade or two are made on draft night.
The top wide receivers are equally tantalizing for NFL teams. Ja’Marr Chase, Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, and Rondale Moore are all potential top-five picks. That’s not even mentioning one of the greatest tight end prospects of all time, Kyle Pitts. These are all dynamic playmakers who would be great additions to any offense in the league.
There is a lot of offensive line talent as well in the 2021 NFL Draft. Penei Sewell is a lock to go in the top 10 and is one of the best tackle prospects in recent memory. Christian Darrisaw and Rashawn Slater are also names to watch around the 8-15 range in the draft.
The defensive talent is not awful in the 2021 NFL Draft, but there is a perfect storm of offensive talent at the top of draft mixed with teams that could really use the offense in the top 10. This storm could make for a historic draft in an odd way.
