While Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves have a zero percent chance of making the NBA Playoffs this year, they are nonetheless happy that they’ve been surging as of late.
The Timberwolves snagged their fourth straight win on Thursday after upsetting the Golden State Warriors, 126-114. After the game, Towns and rookie sensation Anthony Edwards gamely flexed their little winning streak.

Yes, the Timberwolves still have a horrendous 20-44 record and are still considered as one of the league’s bottom-feeders. But they are looking at the brighter side of things at this point. The short-term goal of making the postseason has been thrown out the window. But the bigger goal of developing a winning culture within the organization will forever be upheld, with Towns and Edwards, plus D’Angelo Russell at the forefront.
Besides, the Timberwolves should be proud of themselves. A look at their four-game winning streak reveals they beat the league-leading Utah Jazz twice in a row. They also beat the competitive Houston Rockets, and of course, you must give yourself a pat on the back when you fend off Stephen Curry and the Warriors.
The Timberwolves will next face the New Orleans Pelicans followed by the Memphis Grizzlies. These are very winnable games and fans should definitely watch out if Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards can continue their flex.
