Rajon Rondo may be 35 years old, but he is still very much capable of making acrobatic finishes in the lane. The Los Angeles Clippers point guard showcased his hang time to sink the tough dipsy-doo layup in their game against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.

Rajon Rondo had a great night off the bench for the Clippers. This particular shot was just two of Rondo’s 18 points on the evening. He went 8-of-12 from the field and added five rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 30 minutes of work.
Unfortunately, despite the strong contribution from the two-time NBA champion, the Clippers fell short to the Nuggets, 110-104. The return of Kawhi Leonard, who finished with 16 points, five rebounds and six assists, wasn’t enough to take down the undermanned but Denver squad.
MVP front runner Nikola Jokic put on another monster performance, going for 30 points, 14 rebound  and seven assists, while budding sophomore star Michael Porter Jr. notched 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists. The win propelled Denver past the Clippers in the Western Conference standings, as they now hold the no.3 seed with a 43-21 record. Meanwhile, LA fell to fourth and a half game behind the Nuggets at 43-22.
The Clippers acquired Rondo at the trade deadline to become a stabilizer for them on offense and provide them with a veteran playmaker. The four-time All-Star was an important piece for the Los Angeles Lakers in their run to the 2020 NBA championship last season. The Clips certainly hope he can bring Playoff Rondo on their side this time around.
