Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is a gift that keeps on giving. Despite being controversially ejected for an inadvertent punch on Collin Sexton’s groin area during Sunday’s Mavs-Cavs showdown, the Slovenian wonderboy was still able to provide a meme-worthy moment.
After he was assessed with a Flagrant 2 foul, Luka’s facial reaction was one for the books. Simply put, the Mavs superstar couldn’t believe he was being ejected–with his eyes popping in disbelief. In the end, he wasn’t able to do anything but laugh at the situation.

For what it’s worth, it was a physical bout between Luka and Sexton, with the Cleveland Cavaliers guard intentionally bumping the Mavs playmaker on the paint before Luka accidentally hit him. With that said, it’s understandable why the two-time All-Star was bewildered by his ejection since it doesn’t warrant a Flagrant 2.
After the game, Doncic also explained that the foul was not intentional and emphasized that it was just brought out by the physicality of the contest.
“After I saw the video, I knew I hit him, but it was nothing on purpose. I think that kind of stuff happens a lot in the games, but I don’t know. That’s my explanation. It obviously was not on purpose,” Luka Doncic added, per Callie Caplan of Dallas Morning News.
Fortunately, the Mavs were able to hold off the Cavs without their superstar in the final quarter, dominating with a 124-97 victory behind Tim Hardaway Jr.’s 25 points Plus, fans get to see another hilarious reaction from the Dallas youngster!
