It’s becoming pretty clear. Vladimir Guerrero Jr absolutely rakes. On Saturday against the Boston Red Sox, the Blue Jays slugger absolutely demolished a Nick Pivetta offering way over the Green Monster. In the process, he took the MLB lead with 20 home runs.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr didn’t waste any time getting down to business, either. Pivetta threw a heater right down broadway and the Dominican jumped all over it.
This has truly been a remarkable campaign for the 22-year-old so far. Not only does he lead the big leagues in long balls and RBI’s (50), but Guerrero is first in the American League with a .336 average. He’s truly doing it all offensively and helping the Jays stay afloat in the heavily competitive American League East.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr has been terrorizing the Red Sox arms throughout the first two games of this series, too. He went 3 for 4 on Friday night in a heartbreaking loss in the bottom of the ninth while also slugging another bomb.
The MVP hype is real for Guerrero right now and if he keeps swinging it at this level, there’s going to be little doubt he will ultimately win the award. Toronto will be looking to turn around their fortunes after going 4-6 in their last 10 games. Needless to say, Vladimir Guerrero Jr got them started on the right foot against their division rivals.
