The superstar duo of Chris Paul and Devin Booker has taken the Phoenix Suns to unbelievable heights this season. After finishing the regular season as the second-seeded team, they’re now just four wins away from winning their first-ever NBA championship. This wasn’t at all surprising for a guy like Jamal Crawford.
Crawford, who had the chance to play alongside CP and Book before on separate occasions, chimed in on what makes this such a winning formula for this current Suns squad.
“Before you even get to their skill sets, the love of the game from both of them would keep them connected,” Crawford said on a Twitter DM (via AZCentral.com). “Then on the court, they are both DOGS!!!”
Paul and Booker have been running the show in The Valley all season long. With the help of guys like DeAndre Ayton and other key members of the line-up, this incredible backcourt duo has been nothing short of impressive and their unique talents combined have been one heck of a formula for head coach Monty Williams.
“I think CP is best when controlling the show, but he also is great when he has go-getters with him because that allows him to pick his spots even more flawlessly,” the three-time Sixth Man of the Year added. “And with Book, he is a natural assassin, but he is an underrated playmaker. They are both closers to end the game. Teams are lucky to have one closer. They have two.”
Paul and Booker are on opposite ends of their individual careers. Paul, 36, has been in the NBA for 16 years and has been on quite a basketball journey. Booker, on the other hand, was just eight years old when CP joined the league in 2005. Together, these two All-Stars have formed an incredible bond that has taken the Suns all the way to the top.
