Pakistan removes UK from travel ban:

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a notification removing the UK from the list of banned countries from Category C to Category B.
Islamabad (Urdu Point, latest newspaper, April 4, 2021) Important news for those who want to return to Pakistan from the UK, Pakistan removed the UK from the list of countries banned from travel. According to the details, the government has issued new instructions to make it easier for those who want to return from the UK and now they will be able to return home easily.

The government has directed the Social Aviation Authority to remove the UK from the list of countries banned from traveling. The Civil Aviation Authority has also issued a notification in this regard. Under the notification, the UK has been removed from the list of banned countries from Category C to Category B. The Civil Aviation Authority has issued new SOPs for international flights and chartered flights. A new list of C countries has been released. Passengers from C countries cannot travel to Pakistan.

Category C includes 22 countries, including South Africa, Colombia, Zimbabwe and Ghana. According to the notification, the new SOPS will be effective from April 6 to 20. On the other hand, the UK has added Pakistan to the red list of travel restrictions.

Naz Shah, a British MP, called the travel ban on Pakistan discriminatory. In Pakistan too, there was a strong reaction after the UK included Pakistan in the red list and it was termed as a failure of Pakistan’s foreign policy. It should be noted that the report states that Only British and Irish citizens will be allowed to enter the country, British citizens coming to the UK from countries on the Red List will have to be quarantined for 10 days.
