Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will be on the next episode of HBO’s The Shop, and he has choice words for a mystery team that passed on him in free agency.

The trailer for the new season of The Shop dropped on Monday, opening with an explosive quote from Brady regarding his free agency ahead of the 2020 season:
“One of the teams, they weren’t interested at the very end,” Brady said, via Bleacher Report. “I was thinking, ‘You’re sticking with that motherf–ker?’”

It is unknown which team Brady might be referring to, but Buccaneers fans are surely glad said team decided to pass on the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
Brady’s future with the New England Patriots became all the more uncertain when reports suggested some tension had developed between the legendary quarterback and Pats head coach Bill Belichick. The Buccaneers were quick to capitalize on the situation.
Tampa Bay signed Brady to a two-year, $50 million contract in free agency. The Buccaneers almost immediately became Super Bowl contenders after inking the veteran signal-caller, though there were some early bumps in the road.
Brady appeared to struggle with head coach Bruce Arians’ offensive scheme in the first half of the season, and his deep ball was lacking. Concerns about his abilities were quickly dismissed, however, as Brady reached another gear in leading the Buccaneers to their first Lombardi Trophy since 2002.
The Buccaneers extended Brady’s contract this past offseason and now appear primed to repeat. Meanwhile, the mystery team could be kicking themselves for making a bigger push to sign Brady last spring.
