Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s latest DLC expansion will be coming soon, and it comes packed with content. Eivor’s adventures continue, and the sea lets him sail to a brand new country. This time, he will lend his services to one of the Irish Kings and do his bidding in dealing with the druidic cult. Whether or not you’ve finished the main storyline of Valhalla, Wrath of the Druids will be a great enhancement to your game.

Wrath of the Druids will be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s first post-launch DLC expansion. This DLC will launch on May 13, 2021, to all platforms that Valhalla appears on. This new date is a few weeks after the original release date: April 29, 2021. Unlike other DLC and expansions by other games, Wrath of the Druids will be bringing a load of content to the base game. It’s not just a simple single scenario or alternate sequence of events, it’s a completely new story. Of course, you still control the heroic Viking Eivor, and he’s traveled far here to deal with some business.
Wrath of the Druids Plot and Setting
As already extensively covered over the past few months, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Wrath of the Druids will pit Eivor against the cult of druids called the Children of Danu. Set in Ireland, the game gives players a vast new playground to explore and immerse in. Players will get to explore the regions of Connacht, Meath, Ulster, and Dublin. Ubisoft’s store for the game describes the plot as follows:
“Journey to Ireland and unravel the mysteries of an ancient and mysterious druidic cult, tracking and discovering their members. Dive into Gaelic myths and folklore, fighting your way through haunted forests and dazzling landscapes while gaining influence among Gaelic kings.”
The Norse and some of the Irish lords have aligned their interests. One of these Gaelic kings is named Flann Sinna. Eivor’s quest in Ireland revolves around Sinna’s goals. Gain influence in the courts of Ireland and curry favor by doing their bidding.
New Features
Apart from the massive new map, Wrath of the Druids will also feature some new features for the game. There’s a campaign called “Trials of the Morrigan” which also relates to the main story. And of course, new weapons and armor will become available for Eivor to collect. There will be new clothes for you to transmog into if you like the look enough.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC Price
While the DLCs will be available for free to everyone who has purchased the Season Pass, which comes with the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game, it doesn’t mean you’re locked out forever from this brand-new content. You can still purchase the Season Pass and gain access to Wrath of the Druids for $39.99. Purchasing the Season Pass will also give you access to the next DLC expansion, The Siege of Paris, when it comes out. As the name suggests, the second DLC takes place in Francia, medieval France, during the siege of its capital city, Paris.
